Barry Zito Leads Giants to an Important Win

Since signing a $126 million contract with San Francisco Giants, Barry Zito has been a huge disappointment. However, in his third season with the Giants, he is finally starting to live up to his billing. On Saturday, he led San Francisco to a 5-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies.
In 8.1 innings, Barry Zito gave up only one earned run while striking out seven batters. On the season, he has a record of 9-11 and an ERA of 3.94. His ERA is lower than any point since leaving the Oakland Athletics following the 2006 baseball season.
