Roger Clemens in More Trouble? Kirk Radomski and HGH

Trouble has found Roger Clemens time and time again in recent months. The latest bit of bad news comes via Kirk Radomski. According to sources, there are receipts that indicate Clemens purchased HGH from Radomski — who is an admitted drug supplier.

In recent months, Clemens has also been linked to . . .

. . . using Viagra to improve performance — on the baseball field.

. . . an open apology that didn’t make too much sense.

. . . a sex scandal with Mindy McCready.

And that’s not even discussing his congressional hearing and the other steroid allegations. Ironically, Clemens has been in the news more since he retired than his last few years in baseball.

I’m willing to bet Roger Clemens longs for the days when the biggest controversy surrounding him was related to throwing a jagged bat at Mike Piazza.

Hard Times Continue – Roger Clemens used Viagra

According to a report, Roger Clemens used Viagra as a means to enhance his performance on the baseball field. Those claims aren’t too hard to believe considering Clemens has found himself in a number of pickles lately.

First Clemens found himself in the middle of the steroid controversy. After that, Clemens and Mindy McCready were in a sex scandal. (No word if Viagra played a part in that scandal.)

Why would Clemens need Viagra on the baseball field? According to experts, Viagra can help with endurance and help with delivering oxygen to muscles. Obviously, Viagra can also be used to fight impotence that could be caused by tacking some forms of steroids.

Did Roger Clemens take Viagra to boost his baseball performance? We’ll likely never know for sure. Viagra was legal in baseball’s eyes for Clemens to take when he played. In fact, Viagra is still legal to take today in baseball.

Should baseball ban Viagra and put it on its illegal performance enhancers list? They should consult with the wives first before making any drastic changes.

Raise your hands if you’ve ever taken Viagra.

Roger Clemens Apologizes – For What?

First Roger Clemens found him in the middle of a steroids controversy. Then the Roger Clemens Sex Scandal hit the news. Now? Roger Clemens has issued an ambiguous apology.

Said Clemens in a written statement: “I know that many people want to know what I have to say about the recent articles in the media. Even though these articles contain many false accusations and mistakes, I need to say that I have made mistakes in my personal life for which I am sorry. I have apologized to my family and apologize to my fans. Like everyone, I have flaws. I have sometimes made choices which have not been right.”

While Clemens apologized, he denied both using steroids and he denied the sex scandal. So what exactly is apologizing for? Your guess is as good as ours. Maybe he’s apologizing for throwing that shattered bat at Mike Piazza.

Is this why Roger Clemens is apologizing?

Jose Canseco Homeless? Canseco Loses House

Jose Canseco, the man arguably most responsible for the steroid talk over the past few years, told Inside Edition that he lost his Californian mansion to foreclosure. The mansion, which is valued at approximately $2.5 million, is located in Los Angeles.

“I do have a judgment on my home and it to me is very strange because it didn’t make financial sense for me to keep paying a mortgage on a home that was basically owned by someone else,” said Canseco to Inside Edition.

So what happened to all of the millions Canseco has made over the years?

“You know my life, this financial thing, is a very complicated issue. Obviously, when you make all that money, people think, `OK, let’s assume it is $35 million.’ People have to understand that $35 million, you’re paying the government 41 percent. That leaves you with about $17 or $18 million, not even. Then you’re taking care of your whole family.”

Poor, Jose. Trying to take care of his family on only $17 or $18 million. How does he do it? Somewhere, Latrell Sprewell sheds a tear. Somewhere else, the Roger Clemens sex scandal is happy to be off the front page.

To keep this baseball related, let’s take a look at the best seasons of his career:

1988 – With the A’s as a 23-year-old, Canseco hit .307 with 42 homers, 124 RBIs, 120 runs scored and 40 stolen bases.

1991 – With the A’s as a 26-year-old, Canseco hit .266 with 44 homers, 122 RBIs, 115 runs scored and 26 stolen bases.

1998 – With the Blue Jays as a 33-year-old, Canseco hit .237 with 46 homers, 107 RBIs, 97 runs scored and 29 stolen bases.
