Baseball Players Most Likely to be Traded

The baseball winter meeting is underway and that means a lot of baseball news is sure to generated in the next week. Which players are most likely to be traded during the winter meetings?

1. Jermaine Dye, Chicago White Sox
The White Sox seem to be dangling Dye to any team that will listen. One rumor that has grown legs suggests that the White Sox are considering trading Dye to the Cincinnati Reds for pitcher Homer Baily.

Baseball Offseason Trades – Transactions Update

Mike Jacobs of the Florida Marlins traded to the Kansas City Royals for Leo Nunez
The Royals will hope that Jacobs can add some pop to their lineup, while Nunez should improve the bullpen of the Marlins
Scott Olsen and Josh Willingham of the Florida Marlins traded to the Washington Nationals for Emilio Bonifacio, P.J. Dean and Jake Smolinski
The Marlins were able to shed some salary and pick up a few decent prospects, while the Nationals added a good pitching prospect in Olsen and a good bat in Willingham.

Baseball Trades on the Trade Deadline 2008

The 2008 baseball trade deadline saw a flurry of trades involving some of the biggest names in the game. Players who were traded include future Hall of Famers Manny Ramirez, Ken Griffey, Jr. and Pudge Rodriguez.
Here is a breakdown of who got traded and to where.

Manny Ramirez traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers
Ken Griffey, Jr. traded to the Chicago White Sox
Ivan Rodriguez traded to the New York Yankees
Jason Bay traded to the Boston Red Sox
Kyle Farnsworth traded to the Detroit Tigers
Arthur Rhodes traded to the Florida Marlins
