Carlos Delgado to have Hip Surgery

Last season, Carlos Delgado was a bright spot for the New York Mets. Now, the Mets will likely have to try to win without Delgado for the next few months after it was learned that the hobbled slugger will require arthroscopic surgery on his right hip.
The exact amount of time Delgado will miss isn’t known at this point. The Mets are expected to put a time frame into place after the surgery is completed on Tuesday.
