Sheffield Rumors and Possible Destinations

With Gary Sheffield having been released by the Detroit Tigers, there are a number of teams around Major League Baseball that are showing some interest. That said, a starting spot doesn’t appear to be in the cards right now for the 40-year-old slugger. The best he can do appears to be a part-time gig with more at-bats possible if he swings the bat well.

Tigers and Indians Brawl Video – Sheffield and Carmona

Gary Sheffield and Fausto Carmona likely won’t be exchanging greeting cards this year during the holiday season. In a game between the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians, Sheffield and Carmona went at it. You can find the brawl video at the end of this entry.
The beef started when Carmona hit Sheffield with a pitch. However, Sheffield didn’t charge the mound right away. He went to first base and after Carmona threw over, Sheffield got mad and charged the mound.
