CC Sabathia No-Hitter Video – Brewers Appeal Call

If you listen to the Milwaukee Brewers, CC Sabathia was robbed of a no-hitter on Sunday. Sabathia, who the Brewers acquired from the Cleveland Indians earlier in the season, ended up pitching a one-hitter after an earlier call was scored a hit instead of an error.
Ironically enough, the fielder in question was Sabathia himself. Andy LaRoche of the Pittsburgh Pirates hit a dribbler to the mound that Sabathia tried to field with his bare hand. Sabathia wasn’t able to come up with the ball and LaRoche was safe at first base.

Casey Blake Traded to the Dodgers

Casey Blake has been traded from the Cleveland Indians to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Blake will likely play third base for the Dodgers, but he also has the ability to play in the outfield.
On the season, the 34-year-old Blake is hitting .293 with 11 homers and 58 RBIs. The Dodgers have lacked pop in the middle of their lineup and Blake should be able to provide that.
In return for Blake, the Indians received Carlos Santana and Jon Meloan. Carlos Santana’s musical abilities should help put a smile on a few faces of Indians fans. Who knew …read more

C.C. Sabathia Traded to the Brewers

After weeks of trading speculation regarding where C.C. Sabathia would be traded, the Milwaukee Brewers have emerged as the winners of the Sabathia sweepstakes. Sabathia will join Ben Sheets to give the Brewers one of the best one-two punches in all of baseball.
Sabathia, who won the AL Cy Young Award last year, was traded for four minor leaguers. Those minor leaguers are believed to be Matt LaPorta, Rob Bryson, Zach Jackson and a fourth minor leaguer to be named later.
