Jaime Moyer Re-signs with Phillies

Even though he’s 46 years old, Jaime Moyer was a wanted man this offseason. On Monday, he agreed to re-sign with the Philadelphia Phillies. The contract spans two years and guarantees him $13 million. If he meets certain requirements, the contract could be worth as much as $20 million.
Last season, Moyer’s work in the regular season ended up being hugely beneficial as the Phillies went on to win the 2008 World Series. Moyer finished 2008 with a record of 16-7 and an ERA of 3.71. His 16 wins were the most since winning 21 for the Seattle Mariners in 2003. …read more
