Last season, Moyer’s work in the regular season ended up being hugely beneficial as the Phillies went on to win the 2008 World Series. Moyer finished 2008 with a record of 16-7 and an ERA of 3.71. His 16 wins were the most since winning 21 for the Seattle Mariners in 2003.

Although the crafty left-hander doesn’t have much heat remaining in his arm, he knows how to change locations and keep hitters off balance. If he can keep doing so, he could very well sign another contract when he becomes a free agent again — at age 46.

It’s tough to imagine a pitcher on that mound at age 50 but if anyone can do it, it’d be Jaime Moyer.

In the video, you will see Moyer lay down a picture perfect bunt. As he’s running to first base, the Pittsburgh Pirates end up throwing the ball away. As Moyer rounds first to head to second, an umpire gets in his way. Instead of going around the ump, he pushes the ump to the ground. The Pirates then throw the ball away again, allowing Moyer to get to third. A few pitches later, Moyer scored on a sacrifice fly to center field.
