Phillies and Red Sox Win Game 1

The Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox drew first blood in their respective championship series. The Phillies topped the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-5, while the Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 2-0.
In the National League affair, the Phillies got off to an early lead and held on late as they won in front of their home fans. Jonathan Papelbon Video – We Don’t Miss Manny

Jonathan Papelbon, the outspoken closer for the Boston Red Sox, bluntly asserted that his team doesn’t miss Manny Ramirez. You can see the video at the end of this entry.
In the five minute video, Papelbon rambles on a number of different topics. However, the juiciest segment is when he talks about former teammate Manny Ramirez. Ramirez, who was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the trade deadline, reportedly became unpopular with players, coaches and even ownership in his last few months in Boston.
