Ian Kinsler and Milton Bradley are playing very well for the Rangers. However, I believe that it is Hamilton who is the backbone of that team’s lineup. Take him away and the Rangers wouldn’t be nearly as deadly.
NL MVP – Lance Berkman, Houston Astros
Sure, the Astros are a bad team and chances are slim that they will make the playoffs. That said, Berkman is having a career year and is the best hitter in the NL to date this season.

Lance Berkman, Houston Astros
Lance Berkman is off to a fantastic start to his 2008 campaign. He is batting .299 and has eight homers, 23 RBIs and 25 runs scored. Surprisingly enough, Berkman also has four stolen bases already. It must be 1998, the year that neither of the two first baseman playing for the Savannah Sand Gnats ranked among baseball’s top 100 prospects. Perhaps you have heard of Travis Hafner and Carlos Pena?
Meanwhile, back at the list…
