Why are the Red Sox fed up with him? It probably has something to do with Ramirez fighting with teammates, Ramirez fighting with team employees and Ramirez’s lackadaisical play on the field.

Manny Ramirez seems fed up with the Boston Red Sox and the Red Sox seem fed up with Ramirez. It is no surprise then that Ramirez’s name has appeared in trade talks with other teams. Will the Red Sox trade him? His contract will make it difficult but it may happen.

Why are the Red Sox fed up with him? It probably has something to do with Ramirez fighting with teammates, Ramirez fighting with team employees and Ramirez’s lackadaisical play on the field.

Where could Ramirez be traded?

New York Mets – While the Mets have denied interest in Ramirez, this scenario seems like one of the most logical. The Mets need some more offensive punch in their lineup and they have deep enough pockets. Ramirez in left field makes a lot of sense for the Mets.

Cleveland Indians – If the Red Sox are willing to eat a good portion of the remaining money on Ramirez’s contract, the Indians may welcome Manny home. Ramirez began his career with the Indians and there are rumors that the Indians would be open to Ramirez ending his career in Cleveland.

Philadelphia Phillies – While the Phillies have a great lineup, Ramirez would make the Phillies even stronger. Ramirez is a clutch bat who can get big hits when it counts. In the heart of the Phillies lineup, he could push Philadelphia over the top and make the team a true World Series contender.

New York Yankees – Call us crazy but you know the Yankees have thought about making an offer for Ramirez. Weakening their arch rival while at the same time getting more help in the outfield? Makes sense for the Yankees and it may be the Red Sox only hope of completely getting rid of Ramirez.

Will any of these Many Ramirez trade rumors lead to him having a new ballpark destination by the end of the 2008 season?
