Yeah, the Indians beat the Red Sox.
Again.
My favorite part of the evening came when Manny Ramirez hit a solo home run in the sixth. Boston trailed in the series, 2-1, and in the game, 7-2, when he hit his blast. Dan Shaughnessy explains the rest:
Establishing that he is classless as well as clueless, Ramírez raised his hands at home plate and admired his shot even though the Sox trailed, 7-3.
See, stuff like that is almost enough to make me root for the Red Sox.

Red Sox Sweep Yankees

Boston swept the Yankees over the weekend at Fenway. I mention this out of obligation, not because I have any interest whatsoever in either team.
I guess if there’s an intriguing angle, it’s that the Red Sox scored exactly seven runs in all three games. It also bears noting, if for no other reason than this might be the only chance I get to do it, that Toronto second baseman Aaron Hill has more home runs than Boston’s Manny Ramirez.
Yeah, I’m reaching. But I really don’t care about these teams at all…
