It sounds like the Los Angeles Angels are going to do whatever it takes to keep Mark Teixeira. The first baseman who they traded for in the middle of the 2008 season is a player the team would hate to see let go. Others thought to be interested include the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles.

The Milwaukee Brewers are serious about this World Series thing. The Brewers made yet another move in their quest to win the title this year by trading for second baseman Ray Durham of the San Francisco Giants.
In return, the Giants will receive two minor leagues for the 36-year-old Durham. Steve Hammond and Darren Ford are reportedly the two minor leaguers the Giants will receive. San Francisco is definitely in a rebuilding mode and they had little use for the veteran Durham.
