Rays Try To Advance To 2008 World Series

The Tampa Bay Rays had it in their grasps. Leading the series against the Boston Red Sox 3-1, the Rays had a 7-0 late in Game 5. However, with multiple heroic hits by the never say die Red Sox, Boston was able to pull off one of the greatest comebacks in postseason history by winning the game 8-7.

Red Sox and Rays Video Preview – Playoffs

On Monday, both the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays advanced in the American League playoffs. The two AL East teams will now play each other, with the Rays having home field advantage in the best of seven series.
To advance, the Red Sox got a big hit from rookie Jed Lowrie. With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Lowrie delivered a series winning single against the Los Angeles Angels to end the game. Scoring the winning run was Jason Bay as the Red Sox won 3-2.

If you have Tampa Bay Rays fever, you have probably heard a few Tampa Bay Rays tribute songs. Here is yet another Rays tribute song — accompanied by a video.
I suppose the title of this song is “Go Rays” since that what it repeats about thirty time during the song. I’m not sure who the singer is but he looks like he was about 75 when the Rays came into an existence. No doubt a lifelong fan.
