Brett Gardner is making it a habit of getting walkoff hits for the Yankees. Against the Kansas City Royals, Gardner hit a single in the bottom of the 13th inning to score Robinson Cano and secure the win for the Yankees.
While Gardner may have a knack for getting timely hits, he isn’t having a great rookie season for the Yankees. The 24-year-old outfielder is hitting .176 with eight RBIs in 63 at bats. Despite the ugly stats, New York could definitely use a player who produces when the pressure is on.

Jose Molina Takes Fastball Below the Belt – Video

Jose Molina, the catcher for the New York Yankees, experienced every catcher’s nightmare. Molina, who had the unenviable task of catching the nastiness from Mariano Rivera, was hit with a baseball in a place where no man wants balls to go.
The amazing part of this video is Molina is able to get up and retrieve the baseball. He obviously then crumples over in pain but those first few seconds of heroism should get this kid a contract extension.
