Top GMs and Surprises for ‘08

My colleagues at Baseball Digest Daily and I discuss who are the best general managers in baseball and which teams we think might surprise in 2008. Interesting that folks seem to be so bullish on the Tampa Bay Rays and the Los Angeles Dodgers. I don’t follow the Rays much, although I know they’ve got some terrific young talent. As for the Dodgers, they will face some very stiff competition in the National League West this year. As was the case in ‘07, there’s a good chance that the third- or fourth-place team in that division will be at or near playoff caliber.
