White Sox Sign Hall

The Chicago White Sox have signed catcher Toby Hall to a 2-year, $3.65 million deal. Hall, 31, originally came up with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays before being shipped to the Los Angeles Dodgers in June 2006.

Hall is a career .265/.301/.384 hitter over parts of seven seasons. He’s a younger, cheaper, better version of Henry Blanco, who will play on the other side of town in 2007.
