NDOORS forgot to include “fresh meat” somewhere in that announcement. Kidding!

Anyway, as a pioneer on Atlantica Online’s Delphi server, I’d like to extend an invitation to ijji members to make their home there. Delphi is, after all, the newest server, and competition isn’t as tight as on other more established servers. This means there’s more room to grow for you and your characters.

Let’s take a look at what’s in store for players of Wicked Interactive’s Priston Tale this summer:

Wicked Interactive, a leading North American online games publisher, is launching a series of summer events for Yedang Online’s popular MMORPG, Priston Tale. Players of Priston Tale can participate in the summer events beginning July 1st by going to the game’s official website.

The summer events will consist of seven unique events during the month of July. Each of the events will begin on each Tuesday in July and will last for two weeks each. Priston Tale players will also receive increased experience rates throughout the month of July.

“We are excited to launch the Priston Tale Summer Events,” said Garvin Yeung, chief executive officer of Wicked Interactive. “We hope that our players will enjoy and take advantage of the free fireworks and other great events we have lined up while they enjoy their summer playing Priston Tale.”

Here’s a list of the Priston Tale Summer Events:

Free Fireworks. The Summer Events will kick off by lighting up the night skies with free fireworks for all players of Priston Tale beginning July 1st to celebrate Canada Day, Independence Day in the United States and the beginning of summer.

“Wanted” : Morif. Once the best alchemist in the known world, Morif is now a wanted criminal. Morif turned his back on humankind in search of adventure but kept the secret of perfect item aging to himself. The nations of Priston viewed this as an act of ridicule and have ordered a warrant for the capture of Morif—dead or alive. Players can hunt down Morif and be rewarded with Sheltom forces and Sheltoms (which are used for upgrading weapons and skills).

Nine and Tail Amulet. Priston Tale players are sent on a quest to help Praya, an assassin from a distant land. They need to find a pair of amulets: the Nine Amulet and the Tail Amulet. When combined, the amulets form the seal of the love Praya once shared with the monster, Ninefox. Generous rewards are offered in exchange for these valuables.

Summer Ball Sports. The monsters are out to play—sports, that is! Hunt monsters from all over Priston to steal their ball. New items will include Beach Balls, Soccer Balls, Volleyballs and more. Players can activate these items to reveal their true worth.

Mini Monsters. Miniature versions of monsters will be appearing at select areas of Priston.

Summer Experience. Experience needed to level up characters will be increased by 50 percent on the weekends beginning July 3rd and again on July 18th. This will be followed by a month-long Summer Experience Event starting again on July 28th and moving into August. Players are invited to take this chance to join the highest ranks of Priston Tale society.

Ice Cream. After all, you can’t truly enjoy summer without ice cream!

Okay, I didn’t really get that last one, but I’m sure Priston Tale fanatics would have a blast this summer.

But I’m not here to play philosopher to Ntreev USA. In fact, I’m here to help, starting with the announcement story that launched Trickster Online into Episode 4:

Ntreev USA has announced the launch of Episode 4 of its popular MMORPG known as Trickster Online Revolution. Trickster Online’s Episode 4: A New Discovery offers players a chance to explore and adventure in an all-new secret underground development room where they will meet the game’s new non-playable character, Don Danihen, while more information behind the Megalo Company’s screts and mysteries are revealed.

Trickster Online: A New Discovery will be unveiled to players through three different chapters. In Chapter 1, players will meet a new non-playable character, Lead Developer, who will be pivotal in guiding players through the exploration of the back story behind Megalo, the company of deceased eccentric billionaire Don Cavalier.

In Chapter 2, players will find an all-important CD that contains the key to Trickster; however, accessing the information will not be easy. In the last chapter, players will meet Don Danihen and finally find the truth behind the Developer’s Ghost Story; the haunting of the halls of the development team’s offices.

“Trickster Online: A New Discovery is at its heart a story of intrigue, secrets and mystery, so it stands to reason that our players are always looking for the net big secret to be revealed,” said Chris Lee, chief executive officer of Ntreev USA. “Trickster Online: A New Discovery will reveal some of the all-important secrets of the Megalo Company through interesting quests, secret letters, mysterious acquaintances and much more.”

What are Title Buffs? To put it in simple terms, Title Buffs are, well, titles that appear in front of your character’s name and give you buffs. Duh, that didn’t sound quite right. But that’s exactly what they are—titles that give buffs.

Why are Atlantica Online’s Title Buffs great? First, having titles in front of your character’s name is way cooler than strutting across the virtual world with just a name.

Second, the buffs these titles give is way stronger and more useful than the run-of-the-mill buffs found in other MMORPGs.

The Motivated Title Buff in Atlantica Online gives a decent boost to attack, defense and experience points.

Take the title buff Energizer, for example. Atlantica Online’s Energizer title buff gives a 20-percent boost to your character’s attack, a 15-percent increase in defense and an extra five percent experience points for every mob eliminated.

The downside to Title Buffs is they expire, and pretty quickly, too. Our example above, the Energizer title buff, only lasts for 40 minutes. So make every minute count.

For those of you who don’t know what Runes of Magic is (where have you been living all these years?), it’s a massively multiplayer online role-playing game once reviled as a World of Warcraft clone but now revered as a great game simply because of a revolutionary feature. What is this feature? I’ll explain later.

Uforia, a new online game publisher specializing in massively multiplayer online games, has opened the doors to Red War: Edem’s Curse, an exciting free-to-play MMORPG that takes gamers through the worlds of Meltya and Alies.

Gamers can choose from three classes as they battle the dark forces of Qelian and the inhabitants of Meltya and attempt to prevent their peaceful world of Alies from being overtaken.

The open beta provides players with countless hours of fun and plenty of opportunities to meet new friends as they explore several new maps and battle new monsters that have been added since the last beta session. There is also a host of exciting events that will give players many chances at winning unique prizes that they will be able to use during the open beta period and beyond.

Players also will not have to contend with any character wipes as is often the case in many games. The characters that the players create will be permanent.

This “feeling” is heightened every time I catch a glimpse of the videos that Perfect World Entertainment, the North American operator and publisher of China-based Perfect World Co. Ltd.’s games, churns out. Take this, for example:

Yes, Philippine players of Perfect World, that’s what your lowly white and red fairies will eventually evolve into, something North American players call Genies.

Here’s a short description of Perfect World Genies courtesy of Perfect World International:

Before the worlds were created, the universe was in chaos, there were no elements, no creatures, no feeling, and no thought. As billions of years passed, things began to evolve. After the creation of Perfect World, creatures with intelligence appeared. At the same time, the five elements developed thoughts and wills of their own, and finally evolved into mystic beings known as Genies.

Genies are the children of the five elements. They know how to use elemental skills innately and have a basic instinct to maintain the balance between all of the worlds. Genies mainly live in the Elemental World, seldom can they be seen in Perfect World. However, things are changing.

In the endless war between the denizens of Perfect World and the Wraiths (known in Perfect World Philippines as “Souless”), the balance of the world has been tipped. The Gods have been absent, Wraiths have been endlessly attacking, and the armies of the Underworld have been rising. The Genies have risen to save Perfect World and begin the return to balance.

Genies are skilled with the elements, and wield mighty power in Elemental World. However, once in Perfect World, their ability to control elements will be diminished. In order to improve Genie’s ability, you will need to upgrade them by infusing your experience points or leting them eat experience pills.

Okay, enough of that. I’m revealing too much. Suffice it to say that I feel that players of Perfect World Philippines are getting the short end of the stick. Should the wheels of improvement start moving again, you can bet that I’ll be there in that Perfect World to see it happen.

Ntreev USA to close Pangya migration from Albatross 18 Tuesday, June 30

Ntreev USA, a leading online game developer and publisher, has announced that it will be closing Pangya migration from Albatross 18 at 11:59 Pacific Daylight Time, June 30th. This means any Albatross 18 users who want to migrate their accounts over to Pangya must submit their recovery requests to Ntreev USA before the cutoff time on June 30. After that, the account recovery service will no longer be available.

This announcement is only for players who had played Albatross 18 and have not yet submitted a request for account recovery. For players who have never played the previous version of Pangya, this announcement does not apply. Albatross 18 players can request account recovery through the “Recover Account” button located on the left side of Ntreev’s official Pangya website.

Well, yeah, it’s a good come-on but not enough to whet your appetites. Please don’t bash my head in with a mace for trying.

Anyway, blessed are we who play Atlantica Online. I’ve already won a brand new, uhmm, vehicle. Not the one you see in modern times, though, but an in-game mount, all thanks to this new promo Atlantica Online operator NDOORS Interactive is calling, “Unlock Your Way To Atlantica.”

Here’s an excerpt from the promo mechanics:

The vast treasures of Atlantis await those who have the key—and the key is within your grasp! Gain fabulous in-game items just for playing the game, and play enough and you can win an incredible prize, such as an Xbox 360, a Playstation 3, or even a brand new 2010 Scion TC Sports Coupe!

From June 23 to August 18, players are encouraged to work with others to unlock better prizes, work with your server to get the best rewards, and work for yourself to drive away in your own 2010 Scion TC Sports Coupe!

All players can receive at least one Event Entry Key per day by staying logged into the game for an hour during the event period. The player will receive a notification in-game once the hour has been reached, and the key will automatically be sent to your mailbox. The player must be level 20 and above to be able to use the keys on the website. Once the key has been used, the player can log in to his or her account on the website to manage the keys.

Using the key on the Atlantica Online website will randomly unlock an item which will then be sent to the player’s ITem Mall Pickup in-game. Some items are exclusive to this event, such as the Swimsuit and the Bathing Cap.

The announcement continues by saying that players on each server should collectively use more keys to reach what NDOORS calls “milestones” and gain better rewards. When the total amount of keys is reached for the first milestone, for example, three things will happen:

First, players who have used at least one key in that milestone will be entered into a raffle for real prizes. Second, the server that used the most keys within the milestone period will receive 200 percent bonus experience. And last, new items will be unlocked and added to the key-use item lottery.

To be totally frank, the item lottery can get frustrating in the initial stages of this promo. But once you rack up keys and open lottery boxes one after another, then things will get better. I got a Byzantine Elephant mount!
