Granado Espada: Secrets of The Underground

Sigh. I haven’t even begun exploring the world of Granado Espada after the dramatic server merge—which saw the dissolution of Cervantes, Caravaggio and Vivaldi and eventual reconsitution into Bach, and the joining of Carraci and Pachelbel into Rembrandt—when the guys up at Infocomm Asia Holdings Pte Ltd. and Philippine partner IP E-Games dropped on our collective laps a new patch, Secrets of The Underground.

I guess I have to postpone my reaction, albeit already late, to the server merge in a later post. For now, let’s focus on Secrets of The Underground, also known as Granado Espada Version 2.9.

So what’s new? For starters, Granado Espada is finally getting a pet system. Starting today, families have the opportunity to add a pet to their three-man teams. Pets like the Grabbermon (Wish they picked a better name. Can you say Pokemon ripoff?) are extremely helpful, especially to families who go on AFK leveling because they grab monster drops.

There’s also what the developers call Cinderella Equipments or powerful armor with high defense ratings but only last for 12 hours. Poof!

Here’s probably the most useful feature for me: Granado Espada players can now navigate easier through the maps thanks to the new mini map navigator. Just click on the mini map and your team or family will automatically move to that location. Neat!

More good news. Families who are wont to recruit NPCs into their rosters can now get Claire, the adopted daughter of Claude of Reboldoeux, and Calyce, an orphan adopted by a secret mercenary organization.
