Good news for Grand Chase fanatics in North America. A new character is joining the ranks of Grand Chase Knights and his name is Jin, a melee specialist.

Don’t know what the heck Grand Chase is? Let me fill you in:

Grand Chase is a free-to-play, 2.5-dimension side-scrolling massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Korean company KOG Studios. The story centers around the adventures of the Grand Chase team.

Grand Chase has servers in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Brazil, Southeast Asia, and the United States. The Taiwan and Hong Kong servers call the game Three Young Heroes. In the rest of Southeast Asia, the game is known as Grand Chase.

Oh, yeah, the announcement. Almost forgot about that. Let’s get to it then:

Grand Chase character Jin

Ntreev USA, a leading online games developer and publisher, has announced that it will unveil an all-new character for its action-adventure MMO brawler Grand Chase next week. As the eighth member of the Grand Chase, Jin joins the chase to search for Luther, the leader of the Silver Knights, and finds himself infatuated with Amy.

“Jin is a fantastic addition to the Knights of Grand Chase,” said Chris Lee, chief executive officer at Ntreev USA. “Next week, the North American Grand Chase gamers will experience the speed, strength and force of this melee madman and his ability to really burn things up.”

And by “burn,” they mean it literally.

Jin, you see, is a melee specialist from the Silver Land and a member of the Silver Knights who is a fast, heavy attacker with very short range. Here’s the reason why I say “burn” is literal when pertaining to Jin: He possesses the unique ability to burn, a special ability that makes him stronger and changes his skills. Jin can charge the gauge and use the charge to perform special attacks or gain improved skills.
