No, that’s not a serious plea. I don’t think I’ll fit in well in the China-based online games giant, despite having a Chinese surname, unless they’re in need of someone who looks nearly Chinese, loves to play online games, writes about online games, and can speak fluent English.
Actually, what brought that on was news that The9 would be opening its doors to 1,000 new employees within the year. Many thanks to ever-reliable online games portal 17173 for breaking the news.
Here’s what they have to say about it:
Chinese leading game operator The9 Inc. announced today that it has launched a recruitment project that will offer over 1,000 positions.
According to The9, the recruitment plan was made based on the actual demand of the company. With the launch of new expansion and new games, The9’s player base will increase dramatically, thus the positions provided will mostly focus on marketing and service area. Some technical positions will be included, too.
The9 also announced that they planned to build an executive observation group, which would make a tour at key universities around the nation.
