Ran Online prepares for global tournament

That’s right. It’s that time of year when Ran Online fanatics throw caution to the wind in practicing day and night for the upcoming Ran Global Tournament. Here in the Philippines, where Ran Online is being operated by IP e-Games, the fever is also sweeping the campuses of Mystic Peak, Phoenix and Sacred Gate.
Here’s an excerpt from the official announcement from IP e-Games:
Avid players of e-Games’ popular school-based MMORPG, Ran Online, are sure to get their game on this coming October, as the entire Ran community prepares itself for its biggest battle yet.
The Ran Global Tournament, happening on October 4, is the most-awaited championship for only the best Ran Online gamers. Participants from eight countries, including the Philippines, will battle it out to determine who among the representative Ran countries will emerge to be the champion gamer.
Last year, the Philippine Ran Online team placed first runnerup in the tournament, and this time around, the Philippines will play hosts to the delegates from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea.
While the local team is preparing for their toughest fight yet, Ranatics and their guilds from all over the country will also engage in several tournaments and contests to test their skills in the game.
It gets a little confusing from that point on, since the person who wrote the announcement shifted from third person to second person. Anyway, the Ran Global Tournament will be held at the SMX Convention Center in the sprawling SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Philippines, on October 4.
