Save The Children Through Runes Of Magic

It seems every developer and publisher of massively multiplayer online games are jumping on the charity bandwagon. I can’t blame them. With the millions of dollars their titles can rake in, it’s only proper that they divert even a small portion to those who are less fortunate.
Nipping at the heels of a charity event aimed at helping children get proper medical care, another online games publisher and massively multiplayer online role-playing game has launched a special fund-raising campaign for Save the Children Deutschland, an organization that fights for children’s rights worldwide.
Under its campaign, Frogster Interactive Pictures AG is donating three …read more

With Halloween just around the corner, one would expect to find all sorts of events in your favorite massively multiplayer online games. Runes of Magic is no exception. It has, like all other MMOs, succumbed to the pressure of launching its own set of events for one of the most celebrated holidays in the world.
Before the stroke of midnight today, October 31st, the Runes of Magic Pumpkin Festival will be launched. Gee, I didn’t know pumpkins were a staple in Taborea. Going back to the topic, well, Taborea and all its denizens will bear witness to the birth of, get …read more

It’s almost like Warcraft III: Defense of the Ancients but on a smaller scale. Well, at least that’s my first impression of the new player-versus-player mode of Runes of Magic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game from Frogster Interactive Pictures AG.
Upon closer inspection, however, Runes of Magic’s The Visdun Fortress looks more like an evolved form of Wizard’s Chess—you know, that game that Harry and Ron played in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone that Hermione had labeled as “totally barbaric.”
Going back to, ehem, Runes of Magic, The Visdun Fortress features, well, two fortresses that two teams of three members …read more
Runes of Magic: The Elven Prophecy

Finally, some action! The second chapter of Runes of Magic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Runewaker Entertainment and published in North America by Frogster Interactive Pictures AG, is at hand, and so are the able swords and bows of the Elves.
Yes, you heard that right—a new race! Enough playing with stocky humans. Now you have the chance to play graceful elves—that is, if the elves in Runes of Magic conform to the stereotype of elves in different RPG lore. Here’s hoping that the females of the new race appear, well, more feminine.
Runes of Magic Philippines!

IP E-Games, a publisher of online games in the Philippines, has finally broken its silence on what they hope will be the next big massively multiplayer online role-playing game hit. The alpha site of Runes of Magic Philippines is up and running but lacks depth. At present, it only contains a link to a registration page and a video of the game.
To be honest, I’ve known about the plan of E-Games to launch Runes of Magic, an MMORPG developed by Taiwan-based Runewaker Entertainment and adapted for the North American and European market by Frogster Interactive, in the Philippines for quite …read more
Gearing Up to Play Runes of Magic

Excited doesn’t even begin to describe what I’m feeling right now as the client for Runes of Magic downloads in the background.
For those of you who don’t know what Runes of Magic is (where have you been living all these years?), it’s a massively multiplayer online role-playing game once reviled as a World of Warcraft clone but now revered as a great game simply because of a revolutionary feature. What is this feature? I’ll explain later.
Now, it’s time for a video. I’ve stumbled upon this good video on Runes of Magic that explains why it’s turning out to be such …read more
