If you can call an international championship an epic battle. Well, the Philippine publisher of Supreme Destiny, IP E-Games, seems to think so. The company is sending 28 champions to the World Championship League to wage war against fighters from Japan, Brazil, China, and Korea.
Want to know if you made it to the list? Check it out here.
As with all other major video game competition, big prizes are at stake. The champion who comes out on top will cart away US$5,000. Wow! Not bad, not bad at all, especially if you’re the type who just stays at home and plays the entire day.
Here’s the tentative mechanics for the championship:
The World Championship League will be held from mid February to March. Expect participants from the following countries: Japan, China, South Korea, and the Philippines.
The tournament will be done online. The 26 champions of each country will be issued pre-made accounts for use on a dedicated server.
Point system for league-type matches: A win gets three points and a draw merits one point. Eighteen matches will be held in one month, or six matches a week.
Supreme Destiny, originally titled With Your Destiny in South Korea, is a Western fantasy MMORPG developed by JoyImpact Co. Ltd. and published and marketed worldwide by Hanbitsoft Inc.
There are four types of characters in Supreme Destiny: The Transknight, the Beastmaster, the Foema, and the Huntress. These job classes, however, are limited by gender, i.e. only males may play Transknights and Beastmasters and only females can play as a Foema, or mage, and Hunters.
The character level system is divided into two categories: status and skill mastery.
Status, or attributes in simple video gaming jargon, consists of four attributes: strength, intelligence, dexterity and constitution. After each level up, five to twenty points are given for use in attributes, while two to three points are given for skill mastery. These points can be used to increase a character’s abilities.
There’s not much left to say about the game except a recommendation to try it out. Meantime, check out the official music video for the game:
