How strange it felt last night flipping through the channels on the big screen while waiting for my wife to come downstairs. We were going to watch the season ender for Warehouse 13 that was recorded on the DVR. Then there it was, a NBA basketball game. The Detroit Pistons against the Miami Heat. It did not seem right. The game was only exhibition and it just seemed too soon. Pro sports seasons are so long the off seasons seem too short.

The Pistons defied tradition once again and signed a player known for his offense and not his defense. The last 3 titles have come to Detroit, because of defense. Defense first and physical defense at that, but not anymore.
A first-round pick of the L.A. Clippers in 2002, Wilcox once averaged 13.5 points and 7.7 rebounds for the Sonics in the 2005-06 season.
