NBA Obsessed

Tim Duncan hurt

NBA Obsessed takes you into the hit and run game of NBA Basketball.

The return of James, your basketball author. Now the good and the bad. The good is that my most excellent boss and coworkers filled in quite nicely and that is most appreciated.

The bad is that James is diagnosed with Cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. Fear not, they say the cancer is one that is curable, so let us move forward with our dreams of basketball!

Tim Duncan is hurt and will miss a few games.

He has a sprained right ankle and will miss Wednesday’s game against Dallas, Spurs spokesman Tom James said. The injury will be reassessed this week, and Duncan probably will return in the next few games.

“It’s not a big deal at all,” James said.

Duncan bruised his right knee and sprained his right ankle during the second quarter. He became entangled with Portland’s James Jones and fell near the Spurs’ basket with 7:40 left in the half. source

Right now it is Tim Duncan that keeps the Spurs as the top team in the NBA.

You have to wonder how the landscape of the NBA would change if Tim was hurt worse than this.

Of course, it must be remembered that it was a season long injury to David Robinson that set the stage for the Spurs to lose a lot of games and end up with the rights to Duncan in the next draft. The rich got richer.

Check out this mix of Tim Duncan highlights.
