Kamotegirl over at PinoyTux gave her own commentary regarding the article The Most Hated Company In the PC Industry. The ending of the article by Elgan says:
“There’s no question about it — Asustek is the most hated company in the industry. Microsoft, Apple, Dell and Palm hate Asustek because the company can give us something they can’t: A super cheap, flexible, powerful mobile computer. At $299, why would anyone not buy one? “
Indeed! Why not?
Imagine all the money people will save by buying that laptop. The form factor would surely wow anyone because it’s so small and handy that you could even fit it in your own bag. (Just make sure you cushion it with a sleeve!) It’s a convenient computer for anyone, if you think about it. And the thing with Asus is that they made it possible. That’s a big thing especially when it comes to these other manufacturers who have been trying to keep their reputation up and such. No wonder they hate Asus.
What’s next in the industry? Or is this just the beginning of a revolution? Asus is just one of the players. There are others who are trying to make a difference in the mobile phone industry too.
