Dvorak

For someone like me who has been experiencing RSI-like symptoms, I am worried that I might have difficulty working if I don’t do things that would help me. Aside from taking frequent breaks, doing some stretches during those breaks and getting a check up, I am also planning to learn how to type on a Dvorak keyboard layout.
On Ubuntu it is quite easy to switch keyboard layouts:
1. go to System > Preferences > Keyboard
2. select “Layouts”
3. select US-Dvorak
Well, that’s basically it unless you want to use something else.
As for things to help you learn the keyboard layout, there’s dvorak7min — but I honestly am not checking that out yet because I am still learning the layout using this online Dvorak tutorial. I would probably write about that a bit later.
Ubuntu tutorials actually has a post about the Dvorak keyboard layout and you might want to read some other comments so you have a better idea about things.
