EXPLAIN: Where to Find Beginner GNU/Linux Resources.

I’m not going to pretend that this is some be all and end all list. In fact, this list is quite small. I’m sure there are many worthy sites out there dealing with beginner GNU/Linux information that I’m going to miss – but here’s the short list of places that I go when looking for help.

In no particular order:

    Jon try these;

    Just Linux -> http://www.justlinux.com/nhf/
    Linux on Laptops -> http://linux-laptop.net/
    Linux dot com has a good article for linux on a USB drive -> http://applications.linux.com/applications/05/07/08/1522237.shtml?tid=13
    OSDir.com is a good place to find distro’s and get an idea about them.

    Hopes this helps from one Albertan to another.

    Wow – lots of good resources, thanks guys!

    @Gord: I didn’t know about the Linux on Laptops site. Very cool since I primarily use Kanotix on my Dell Inspiron 1000. You’re Albertan too? Wicked! Where are you?

    @ Srinivasan: How could I forget to mention the Linux Documentation Project? Man…I suck. ODOC: Very cool! I’m going to link to that off here and the GNU/Linux User Show blog if you don’t mind.

    @Anthony: Thanks for the link. I don’t do much with K/Ubuntu so a resource like yours is welcome. Nice tutorial on KSnapshot, by the way. I did one something like that a few weeks ago :)
