Finding ways to connect to the Internet using bluetooth and a phone

Sorry, guys! Been offline too often. The internet connection at home and at the office haven’t been stable.
Don’t worry though! I am trying to work on it whenever I can go online and find some stuff that might help. At home, we have a funky router and a not-so-good connection. In the office, well, we’ve been moving around and the internet connection is actually one of our problems.
So yeah, there is supposed to be a way with Linux and bluetooth. You need a bluetooth dongle, a bluetooth capable phone and your computer. You will also need some packages to help you with this:
bluez-firmware-1.0.tar.gz
bluez-libs-2.12.tar.gz
bluez-utils-2.12.tar.gz
openobex-1.0.1.tar.gz
openobex-apps-1.0.0.tar.gz
You could download them from the bluez download page.
Things you need to do:
1. Configure some files of BlueZ: hcid.conf, rtcomm.conf, pin
2. You need to make RFCOMM devices.
3. You need to make an rc script.
4. Run the rc script and pair your phone with the machine.
5. Use gnubox or something to connect the devices. So you could configure your phone as modem.
You could check out the complete guide to connect your bluetooth phone and Linux-powered computer here. I am still looking for something more relevant to Sony Ericsson phone users. Hopefully I get something soon.

Connecting via bluetooth using a Sony Ericsson phone is actually quite simple. I followed the directions here (http://tinyurl.com/4glrd4) on connecting your mobile phone to the computer via bluetooth on ubuntu. I’m using an SE W800i and an Acer Travelmate 3282WXMi and an Asus Eee 4G.
