Funny Friday: Humorix

I was looking for something funny to share with you when I chanced upon a comment on a blog that says that Humorix has stories which are funny. I couldn’t resist so I checked it out. The commenter was right! It is funny. It’s like Slashdot but with lots of fake stories and other such funny stuff.
I was laughing at the thought of a disgruntled Satan/Lucifer complaining that he shouldn’t be compared to Bill Gates. After all, he is the Prince of Darkness and whatever evil he can do is infinitely greater than the one of Bill Gates. Hahaha. I think that a lot of Linux users have thought about the evils of Microsoft with the blue screen of death, the need to reinstall Windows every once in a while, etc. But of course, that doesn’t mean that Bill Gates is evil… at least not in the same way that Satan is. Heh.
And who says naming applications is easy? Take it from Humorix who puts up GIMP as an example. Marketing applications is never easy and there has to be a way to make them easier for people to remember. Some might complain that the apps have such geeky names so why not have something that could easily be related with, right? Right. Absolutely. Especially for Pointy-haired bosses. I laughed at the part where it talked about desktop environments and how painfully obvious things should be. Like internet browsers for example. There shouldn’t be a box icon there with a monster (Mozilla) in it. It should have the text “Use This To Browse The Internet” instead. Good luck with and see how much space it will take up on the screen : P
Ever heard of Curtains – an anti-Windows tool? Because your computers need protection from viruses! Get Curtains! It will detect Windows and make sure that it will never get installed.
I saw that there were a lot of anti-Windows fake articles on it that might be offensive to others but there are really amusing ones that are worth passing on to others. Too bad it’s not updated often anymore.
