@rq Hi, there! Glad to see you've got a Linux-netbook blog :D I'd love to read it more often. I am also using Pidgin and I really like it a lot. :D The only thing I'd like to happen with Empathy is for me to have voice chat, actually. Maybe there's a way for Empathy and Pidgin to combine forces and develop and awesome app.

@MeikahDelid Maybe you could check your account settings. And let's see if I could drop by your office to check that dilemma :D

@aqeeliz Am glad to see another Linux blogger :D

@Jeroen Right now, I have similar sentiments. Maybe if I could do voice chat via Empathy, I actually might use it more often. But Pidgin has a better interface for me now. The fact that it suggests a list of contacts when I type the first few letters is already quite helpful for me.

I have used gaim for several years and saw no reason to switch until it was renamed to Pidgin, which I am using now. It offers all a need.

I've tried Empathy, just to check out wether voice chat works on the msn-network. It didn't, so I think it doesn't really has more advantage to me and it takes more bytes out of my memory than Pidgin.
