Promoting Linux using reverse psychology

I am not sure what Promoting Linux is all about but everything was so exaggerated I ended up laughing!
Let me share some stuff that made me laugh:
Linux Users are in a Cult
Most of the Linux user-base is comprised of young and impressionable individuals.
The likes of Li*us, R*S [masked for legal reasons] and other notable individuals have corrupted the youth to create a cult to serve their personal and political agendas.
By providing the bored and disenfranchised with the opportunity to group together to fight a common enemy [Microsoft], the inexperienced youth is psychologically manipulated into joining this neo-Marxist Linux hive communion. They are offered a sense of family and a purpose in life. Then people just start to disapear.
The Linux community is not a user-base, but rather a pressure group of furor, zealotry and fanaticism. It is driven by fear, uncertainty and distrust. They have no middle ground. You are either with them, or against them.
*Linux is all about submission!*
That is just so funny the way I see it. As if young people are the only ones who are Linux users and are advocating it! Hahahaha. And it’s as if everyone using Linux is brainwashed. Not true. Everyone using Linux has a different opinion and not all are zealots and fanatics. There might be people who are very passionate about GNU/Linux and free software because they agree with Linus Torvalds and Richard Stallman, but to say that everyone is like that is too much and it makes me laugh because I am not like that and I have friends who aren’t like that either. Hehe. The descriptions are too funny to be true!
Linux Never Delivers
Since the foundation of Linux is all based on lies and manipulation, the Linux tends to never deliver on its promisies.
Hahahahahaha. This one is simply funny. I using my laptop right now and I have Ubuntu Linux running.
Oh and my personal blog is up and running. Guess what? It’s on a Linux server. So if it never delivers, I shouldn’t be writing anything, doing anything on Linux.
Oh and one must not forget the Proof page where you’d expect to see a proof of why one should go with the “true way” aka the Microsoft way. The funny thing is that it’s a 404 page. XD Whatever! It’s really hard to take this site seriously. Especially when it comes to the celebrity endorsements.
I swear, this site is for laughs!

Hmmm… was that Mr. Balmer who announced the tactics of fighting free software by fear? Linux as a sect or cult is just a digital version of “Russians are coming”. It is sad to see that there are people who are still willing to buy that story.
@dandellion I’d think that some of those who seem to be buying the site’s arguments haven’t seen the exaggeration used in it. Either they’re blind or they’re just so gullible. I hope that they’d open their eyes and see the real truth, not what’s in there.
The Russian threat is real! Keep talking like that and they will be on the streets of Washington.
My highschool teacher also told me that it was America that won World War 2 (99% responsible for the victory).
All in all I agree with PromotingLinux.com 100% about the part that Linux users are in a cult. They really are.
Beware the Britney Spears page in the “Celebrity Endorsements” section. It is Not-Safe-For-Work: a certain paparazzi shot is included – I don’t think anybody really wanted to see that. The caption is “Britney Spears ecstatic about the launch event of Windows Vista… Rushing to get her copy… Didn’t have time to put on panties.” I honestly think they are doing this for shock value. They don’t really give a supporting argument either for Windows or for Linux. At any rate, it is hard to take the site seriously.
ARE you retarded?

I should hope its hard to take seriously. Parody sites usually are. How so many people can keep taking this site seriously is mind boggling.
I adore that site. It’s tongue-in-cheek site that’s little more than a culmination of various MS FUD from now and years past.
If you take that site seriously, you’re an idiot. It’s hilarious!
@Jon Packard I saw that too and was thinking, “How lame” and all the more I couldn’t take that site seriously. That’s probably why the comments amuse me all the more. Some people take it waaay too seriously.
