Lightweight Crunch Bang Linux

Looking out for a lightweight distro for the heck of it is interesting. If you look at Distrowatch there are a lot of distros there and the name Crunch Bang just stood out for me so I had to click the link to its page. It is described as a faster Ubuntu.
What is interesting about Crunch Bang?

LXDE – another lightweight desktop environment

A link to the LXDE site was on del.icio.us and I just had to click it because in this day and age, I sometimes get tired of eye candy. I like pretty desktop environments, surely but there are times when I just need to sit back and relax with simple and straightforward user interfaces. Here comes LXDE to people like me.
