This is specifically for your computers, not the ones on your server. I have been using different wikis in order to organize my thoughts over the years. I notice that all of them are quite different from each other. It’s not just how the applications behave, it’s also the way users need to interact with them, as well as the overall functionalities. I’ve been trying to regularly post on this blog and so far, there’s one idea I’ve been keeping up with more or less and that’s Funny Friday. The alliteration is enough to keep me interested in looking for funny stuff, whether it’s about Linux items or quotes, and make sure I post them on a Friday. A burned CD/DVD from a friend – 1 (2% of all votes)
Bought online – 2 (3% of all votes)
From a magazine subscription – 1 (2% of all votes)
Ordered DVD’s for free! – 12 (3% of all votes)

Two people said they ordered free DVDs! XD It’s an easy way of getting a pressed copy of a distro you like. Especially if you don’t have the bandwidth for downloading an iso. Thanks for participating, folks. Watch out for the next poll question!

Do you buy Linux DVDs online? Or do you ask someone to burn a copy for you?
Whether you get them free from magazines, from the Internet or somewhere else, let us know. Especially if you have other sources we don’t know of yet.
My copies are mainly burned CDs or DVDs from friends or downloaded from the Internet. For me it’s the most convenient method. There are times when I get pressed copies from acquaintances or events too. But for the most part it’s people who give me copies and the ones I download.
