The 5 least popular Desktop Environments

Admittedly, I am already happy using either Gnome or Openbox that I hardly look at other desktop environments. From time to time I’ve checked out a different one for the sake of looking at something new but more often than not, I stick with my usual defaults. I’ve almost tried the Mezzo desktop environment if not for the missing disc =_= So I would have to download Symphony One again from the looks of things.

Anyhow, Tech Source from Bohol has an interesting entry on the 5 least popular DE’s. It lists down the following as the least popular:

LXDE has a guide for installing it on various distros so it’s the first one I am checking out. It could have been Mezzo =_= If not for the epic fail in keeping trac of all the discs I have I have at home. Anyhow, I am currently installing LXDE and will wait for the downloads to finish.

Have you tried any of these and liked it? What are your comments so far? :) I hope you’d feel free to post a comment about it!

LXDE is great, from the creator of PCManFM, so everything is so fast!

  2. Stefan says:

GPicView Image Viewer is installed on my GNOME DE.

Project Looking Glass looks more like concept than real DE.
