Topics for New Linux User

I’ve been trying to regularly post on this blog and so far, there’s one idea I’ve been keeping up with more or less and that’s Funny Friday. The alliteration is enough to keep me interested in looking for funny stuff, whether it’s about Linux items or quotes, and make sure I post them on a Friday. Those funny stuff I’ve looked for have helped me think of potential gifts for friends and co-workers who use Linux are very proud of it. Also, some of the humorous stuff I find get me more interested in other concepts or tools or distros so that’s one good thing I get from that theme.

Are there other themes you’d like to see here? So far I’ve been trying to keep on posting about new or not so well-known applications that look useful especially to new Linux users and those who really just need specific types of applications.
I was thinking of themes like the following:
- Wacky Wednesdays – Could be some of the most outrageous Linux news and/or tips. Could be fake or real. The thing is it has to be wacky and/or outrageous.
- Tuesday (or Thursday) Tips – Instead of Tip of the Week, it could be scheduled for a particular day. There are a lot of Linux tips ranging from choosing a desktop environment to what could be a way to manage your own files. It could be a way for readers to share tips with each other.
- Polls. Have you missed our online polls? If you have any particular topic you’d like to have a poll on, then give me your suggestions. I am open to them, as long as they are Linux-related. It could be a poll question that’s been bugging you for ages or something that you’re just curious about.
- Link days. I do have days when I just link to all sorts of news and information. No themes yet though. Just a sample of what I’ve been reading and what I think you’d find useful as Linux users.
So far, that’s it. If you’ve got ideas, please comment or send me an email via c…@b…a.com
