Things you never thought you would see:

  • a weighted companion cube from Valve’s addictive Portal emerging from the side of a building in Toronto.

Street artist Posterchild latched on to a great piece of gaming and turned it into a fun art exhibit along one of Toronto’s busiest streets. One half of the cube can be seen emerging near the intersection of Yonge & Bloor, while the other half juts out from a building at Euclid & Bloor. Now if only the Bloor Street portal actually worked, avoiding crowds would be so much easier.

It’s not the first time that he’s slipped gaming oriented pieces into public space. He’s also got an established record of making Mario Question Blocks pop up all over the place.
