Sonic Back, Way Back, As In Medieval

Poor Sonic…his former glory is just being pummeled, nay, demolished, by the continuation of a franchise solely for the sake of continuing it; flogging a dead…hedgehog…beyond all spinning recognition as it were. And they’re just not stopping!!
Sega has just announced Sonic and the Black Knight, a fantasy-themed extravaganza from Japan, complete with an “Arthurian-inspired” plot that seems to channel The Sword in the Stone and/or Monty Python’s Holy Grail. To be released on the Wii, controls will be a combo of the Wiimote and nunchuk system. That’s really all we know. Oh, that and the fact that we’ll have to shed a tear and use it as a paperweight starting Spring 2009.
Someone should really call the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, because my little blue buddy can’t take much more of this. Free Sonic!
