Xbox Live Users Get a Free Game As Compensation

The other day I posted about rumors regarding compensation for Xbox Live members, and now it’s official. Microsoft is giving Xbox Live players a free download from the Xbox Live Arcade as a way of saying they’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience. These games have a value of somewhere between $5 to $15 which makes it a pretty good deal.

Looks like the trouble was caused by an overload of new subscribers. Popularity can sometimes have its downsides. But issues have been resolved, and Xbox Live playing has returned to normal.

Specific details regarding the free download will be revealed during the upcoming weeks, so keep checking the Major Nelson blog for news.
