Love Triangle Under the Sims Moon Video

I don’t know how many of you have tickets to the New Moon premiere tonight [I'll be seeing the 12:02am showing, thank you very much] but, based on the reactions that Edward Cullen and Jacob Black got, I’m going to assume that there will be a few of you watching the movie tonight.
In “celebration” of the movie hitting the big screen tonight, EA has come out with a New Moon spoof that has got to be seen to be believed.
Just like all of their other spoofs, it’s a bit irreverent and funny and since it’s not that long [just over a minute] you can watch it on your way out to see the real thing.
Even the title – Love Triangle Under the Sims Moon: A The Sims 3 Parody – made me laugh.
Just don’t take it too seriously. I’m sure they made it with the utmost respect for the movie and the books.
OK…not really…but it’s still funny.

Issues with Sims 3 World Adventures

I had planned on pre-ordering World Adventures and just never got around to it.
And…well…I think I’m relieved that I didn’t.
Turns out that people are having issues already with the expansion.
There’s talk of custom content conflicts.
Problems with people not being able to register their games.
AwesomeMod doesn’t work
Apparently people were/are getting “Error Code 16″ errors when they tried to save a game after installing World Adventures.
This comes from the forums and is an “official” response:
Hi everyone,
We have been made aware of an issue you may encounter while trying to save your game after installing The Sims 3 World Adventures or updating your …read more
How to Backup a Sims 3 Game

You know that you should back your game up before you install any updates or new expansions.
You know it but that doesn’t mean that you always do it and I’m just as guilty as you are.
But, if you have a really great game going and you lose those hours of gameplay, you’ll quickly [and painfully] learn your lesson.
So. How do you go about backing up a Sims 3 game anyway?
This is what you do and it’s pretty painless. MUCH less painful than losing all of your game data.
And, to make it even easier, you get pictures!

Free Downloads from The Sims 3 Store

If you’re in the mood to download some free items today, head on over to The Sims 3 Store to download some free exclusive Maxis created items – the cellar arch and the Sleek-Sleeper.
The bed has a 4 Energy rating and a rating of 3 for Stress Relief – not amazing stats but there are mods out there to bump up those numbers if you’re so inclined. The arch is…well…an arch. Do something amazingly dungeony with it or something.
The Tomb Sled Sleeper – which I like better than the Sleek-Sleaper from an aesthetic perspective is another bed that you can …read more
Adventures of Brad Video – World Adventures

Brad had the perfect life but apparently being presented with the new found ability to travel the world and experience new places [and women] corrupted Brad because Brad became a lech.
The new “creator” series of videos for World Adventures are cracking me up and this video is a perfect example of the possibilities that World Adventures will present to your Sims – the possibility to meet new people from all over the world and have a world full of Sims really pissed off at your Sim.
Because it was just too damn easy to have that happen in your own neighborhood.

It’s Sunday and on Sundays, I like to basically chill out and catch up on TV episodes that I’ve missed from the past week and watch YouTube videos. As you can tell, I live a very exciting life.
When I’m on YouTube, I always search “Sims” or “Sims 3″ to see what new and exciting stuff has popped up. Sometimes it’s good stuff and sometimes it’s utter crap. But, it is YouTube so that’s really the nature of the beast, isn’t it?
Anyway, with World Adventures hitting next week, I’ve been kind of surprised at the lack of World Adventures trailers. But, …read more

Folded American Flag for Sims 2

Today, people across the world are celebrating what we Americans call Veteran’s Day. Brits call the day Remembrance Day.
It actually started out being called Armistice Day and was meant as “a day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be thereafter celebrated“.
Later, it was changed to Veteran’s Day to celebrate all who have served.
Today is a day that may seem like a minor holiday to someone who have never served or loved someone who has served. But, if you’re lucky enough to have known a service member, you know that today is something to truly celebrate. …read more
Vamps for iPhone Sims

So maybe you can’t have vampires in the Sims 3 game and I know some of you are mighty bummed about that.
But, if you have Sims 3 for iPhone, you should cheer-up since EA has released a Vampire Theme Pack exclusively for iPhone and iPod Touch simmers.
Happy?
Since I don’t have either an iPhone or and iPod Touch [I'll happily take one or both for Christmas. Hint. Hint.] I wasn’t able to go to the iPhone Sims Store to check out the new additions but the Sims 3 website has a full list of the stuff that you can expect.

World Adventures Paris Images – Finally!

I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I will be buying World Adventures and I’ll probably be pre-ordering it. Especially since you get free shipping if you order through the EA store. That’s pretty cool, don’t you think.
Then again, I don’t remember the last Sims game I actually bought in a disc version – I generally just download it via EA’s Digital Downloader.
Anyway, the big news [for me] is the release of a couple of Paris screens. China and Egypt are cool, but I was really looking forward to seeing what the creative team was going to do with Paris. …read more
