Extra Free Stuff with World Adventures

Someone's having a bad day.
EA is pushing hard for people to pre-order and register their copies of the first Sims 3 expansion: World Adventures – set to release Nov. 17th.
If you decide to register your expansion, you’ll be awarded with an extra 1k SimsPoints to be used in The Sims 3 Store on whatever your little heart desires. You’ll also get the Explorer’s Loot Set which contains all kinds of goodies. The Explorer’s Loot set apparently doesn’t come with the expansion – you download it after you’ve bought the expansion.
I’m trying to figure out EA’s big push for game registration and while a part of me thinks that it’s for demographic collection another much bigger part of me is pretty sure that this registration push is to prevent players from letting their neighbors “borrow” their game.
I get all of my Sims games via digital download these days so the idea that I would “lend” my game to someone else really is a mute point but I’m sure it’s a very real concern for EA management.
With these extra goodies, EA is basically giving you an incentive to do the right thing.
So, I can’t help but ask, will you be getting World Adventures? And, have you ever let a friend “borrow” your Sims game?

Hell yes I’m getting it. It comes out the week that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 comes out here, so my partner will be playing that on the X-Box 360, and I’ll be stuck to my laptop like clue.
I have let people borrow my Sims 2 games, but not Sims 3. I have however installed it on 3 different machines (all mine…I’m cursed).
Maybe you just buy crappy machines? :0 You know I’m playing and I’m happy to see you commenting here.
i dont lend out my sims 3 game and wont lend out world adventures when i get it [already pre-ordered!] my friend LOVES the sims games like i do though but is broke. so when the sims 3 came out i gave her my collection of sims 2 games. i wouldnt have GIVEN them to her but i was definetaly NOT a fan of the loading screens at all!! [which is a BIG reason why i love the sims 3]. i love ea. so if she was willing to spend money on it i wouldnt have given them to her, but she wasnt going to buy them anyways. so its no real loss of money for them.
And who knows? Maybe she’ll love Sims 2 so much that she’ll come over to the dark side of Sims 3. :0
