Sims 3 Website get a BIG Upgrade

If you haven’t been to the Sims 3 website in a while then a pleasant surprise is waiting for you.
The site no longer has a generic, out of the box feel and has been enhanced with Flash to improve the user’s experience.
Birds chirp in the background and swans swim in the pond as the user moves their mouse over the interactive interface.
I counted no less than nine “clickable” elements that each contain interesting features/information about Sims 3.
From the fountain that details new locations to information about Officer Roscoe who’s a compulsive kleptomaniac, there is a wealth of information literally at your fingertips.
Some of the features include screens that I haven’t seen before and one, the kissing couple, gives you information about the free bonus content that’s gained when you join the Sims 3 online community.
I found myself running my mouse back and forth over the new elements to catch another glimpse of the cars driving by or the pedestrian crossing the street.
I also found myself wondering why EA didn’t think about this earlier.
With the delay of Sims 3 by four months, EA is smart to give their Sims fans something more to drool over.
However, the drool is cold [though wet] comfort since I know that if the PR stuff had been handled properly to begin with then I would be playing Sims 3 right now instead of waxing on about how cool the website is.
