Holiday Kids Clothes for Sims 2

Thanksgiving may have just happened but already people are talking about Christmas. And if you’re anything like me, you like to dress your Sims up for the occasion.

Some of the best Sims to dress are the kids since they look so darn cute in their Christmas gear.

Included in this clothing download for Sims 2 are velvet dresses with white tights and black Mary Janes for girl toddlers and children and argyle sweater vests with slacks and black shoes for boy toddlers and children. You can find the downloads in Formal and in Everyday so if you want your kid Sims to be Christmas cheery at all times then you can have it.

You get four new meshes with this download but you don’t have to worry about searching around for them since they are included in this download. No expansion packs are required so even base game players can get their Sims in the holiday spirit.

Since I normally feature Sims 3 stuff, please note that this download set is for Sims 2 so don’t go downloading if for Sims 3 and expecting it to work.

I can’t decide if I like this lot so much because it’s awesomely created or if it’s because I want to put it in my game and act like I live there.Surely, I’m not the only one who does that…just say I’m not so I’ll feel better.Since I don’t have Sims 2 loaded any more, sadly I can’t install this gorgeous house but that doesn’t mean that you can’t.Make sure that you download all of the custom content that’s listed on the Overview page since there’s a lot of stuff to get – seven things if you also get the optional downloads.There is TONS of custom content that is included in the download so consider yourself lucky that you only need to download seven additional things.Save up your cash since this lot will set your Sims back $213,516. Tru Blood Drink for Sims 2

Today on Twitter, SookieBonTemps asked me if I had seen the Tru Blood pack on Mod the Sims.

I’m a bit ashamed to admit that I had missed Fanseelamb’s extremely cool addition to the Tru Blood downloads and so, of course, I’m featuring it.

How could I not feature this download after I read: “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drink Friends”.

I laughed for like five minutes after I read that.

I mean, it is Thanksgiving. Why shouldn’t your vampire Sims have an interesting libation to enjoy?

Just like in the books and the show, Tru Blood satisfies all of your Vampires’ needs without the need for a dinner guest – if you know what I mean.

Tru Blood can be found in the vamp’s fridge or in vending machines. If you want everything to be all happy and work right, your best bet is to have up to Apartment Life installed.

The Overview doesn’t say how much these cost but I’m going to assume not that much. I would have installed these bad boys but I don’t run Sims 2 any longer so y’all will have to tell me how much these rock.

Folded American Flag for Sims 2

Today, people across the world are celebrating what we Americans call Veteran’s Day. Brits call the day Remembrance Day.

It actually started out being called Armistice Day and was meant as “a day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be thereafter celebrated“.

Later, it was changed to Veteran’s Day to celebrate all who have served.

Today is a day that may seem like a minor holiday to someone who have never served or loved someone who has served. But, if you’re lucky enough to have known a service member, you know that today is something to truly celebrate. Because, in celebrating them, we celebrate our freedom and the sacrifices of those who fought to keep us free.

Syn28 made a wonderful folded flag for Sims 2. Whether you’re integrating it into a storyline or using it in your game as a remembrance of someone you’ve loved and lost, this item deserves a place in your game.

Sims 2 Vampire Gowns

Vampires are all the rage right now what with True Blood and Twilight but I’ve been a fan of vampires since way back. Doesn’t anyone remember Lestat? *sigh*

The point is that I have a great set of vampire gowns for you for Sims 2.

There are five of them total and you need to read the Overview page to get a link to the mesh that you need to download so that the dresses will show up in your game.

My favorite is the red gown since it’s red and super sexy and looks like something that a classy vampire woman would wear.

If these gowns are something you want to see your Sims wearing, make sure that you check out the link that’s listed above.

Great dresses even if you’re not trying to do the whole vampire thing.

Sims 2 Witch Gown

I know I post mostly Sims 3 downloads and news now and to you die hard Sims 2 players out there, I’m sorry.

Sims 3 is the new game [not so new now] and there is some amazing content out there and since I haven’t been playing Sims 2 because of having Sims 3, I hope you will forgive me for not posting Sims 2 content.

This dress, though deserves to get written about.

If you’re looking for a dress for your Sims 2 Sim to wear for Halloween then this is probably it.

The purple makes me smile since it’s a deep, rich purple and the dress is almost couture which I LOVE.

From reading the Overview page, it looks like you might need to download a mesh to get this to work. It’s not really explained but since there is a link to the mesh, I’m going to assume that’s what’s meant.

Download this dress for your Sims 2 chicks and let them have an awesome Halloween time.

They deserve it.

Rachel Weisz for Sims 2

Rachel Weisz was in The Mummy, Runaway Jury, The Constant Gardener and Definitely Maybe among a ton others. [I linked to her IMDB page if you still don't know who she is.]

Vera Marina has done it again with this Sims and shows why she is one of my favorite creators.

The side-by-side is awesome and Vera seems to have really captured the essence of Rachel Weisz. Even though Weisz has a weird [though pretty] face, Vera still managed to create a great likeness and I think that this version of Rachel Weisz will fit right into your Sims 2 game.

With all of the movies that she’s been in, just imagine all of the story lines that you can now recreate!

Seed of Chucky Family for Sims 2

OK. This is a download that I have not downloaded into my game.

#1 I don’t play Sims 2 very much and #2 Chuck freaks me out. Here’s a good example of a download that I know some of you are really going to like even if I don’t necessarily like it.

Actually, I like this set of Sims a lot but I just won’t have them in my game since they would probably give me a few bad dreams.

With the Seed of Chuck Family download for Sims 2, you get Chucky, Tiffany and Glen.

To get these scary characters to work in your game, you’re going to want to read the information under Glen’s picture where it says “Meshes *IMPORTANT!*” You have to download three different meshes for the hair and clothes to show up like they should.

Aled did a damn fine job on these characters so if you download them from Mod the Sims, make sure that you click the “Thanks” thumbs up.

Dr. Lisa Cuddy for Your Sims 2 Game

If you’re a fan of House then you have to be a fan of Dr. Lisa Cuddy.

Cuddy is like the angel on House’s shoulder and usually acts as his conscience and keeps him out of trouble {for the most part}.

Not to mention the fact that she’s beautiful and a smart chick to boot.

This Sim is a super close likeness to Cuddy and the screenshot that I picked might not do the Sim justice. You have to see them all to really get the Cuddy “feeling”.

A couple of things that aren’t included with the download: the top and the dress.

Everything else IS included in the download and the links to the dress and top are included on the download page if you just have to have them – and they are pretty cute.

Dr. Cuddy for Sims 2 would be the PERFECT compliment to Vera’s version of House .

Jacob Black for Sims 2

I’ve brought you Edward Cullen and Dr. Carlisle Cullen and now, I bring to you Jacob Black but the amazingly fabulous Vera Marina.

Her work is so dead on so many times that I know that I’m going to probably like just about anything that she created. Her characters are instantly recognizable and life like and they should be a welcomed addition to any Sims game.

Below is Jacob, played by Taylor Lautner. Vera’s rendition of him is spot-on and the only thing that I would change would to be making Jacob’s body just a little “thicker”. Other than that, I think that Vera’s version of Jacob is perfect.
