The Sim 3 World Adventures Trailer

I know you’re doing the happy dance since it’s not too long [Nov 16th] until World Adventures hits store shelves for Sims 3. Actually, if you’re like me, you’re waiting around to see if all of the brouhaha is really going to pay out or if this is going to be a lame expansion. If it’s lame, then you’ll pat yourself on the back for having saved your money and if it rocks…well…you’ll kick yourself and then go out and get the expansion.

SO, I see no harm in sitting back to see what everyone thinks about the expansion. Heck, I haven’t even managed to successfully play a character through an entire life cycle yet.

Oh, yes. You read that correctly.

I think that I should be congratulated for FINALLY getting my ass out of CAS and putting my Sim on a lot. I’ve got the Sims that I want to play and have created a house that I would actually live in [by the beach] and now, all I have to do is meet someone, make him marry me, have five kids and see them grow up to at least their teenage years so that I can live happily ever after. And now, EA tosses a wrench in my plans with World Adventures.

How the heck is my Sims supposed to meet someone and get married and have mucho babies when she’s trekking through Egypt, France and China?!

Anyway, here’s the trailer World Adventures. Pixie Lott, Nelly Furtado, Stefanie Heinzmann, Matt & Kim, and Young Punx will all lend their voices to the expansion.

Pixie Lott Records Song for Sims 3

Pixie Lott’s single, Mama Do, debuted last month and she’s already re-recorded it in Simlish. Her first album, Turn It Up, comes out in September and with all of the attention that the Sim community is giving Ms. Lott, I have a sneaking suspicion that the album is going to do really well. She has a great voice and seems like a super down to Earth chick in this video.

Also, am I the only one who was surprised to see the lyrics all written out in Simlish? Maybe I was just expecting them ad lib it.

Whatever. I think this is a cute video.

Unlimited Possibilities

There’s just something about this video that puts it at the top of my list of Sims 3 videos.

Maybe it’s the fact that in a minute and 35 seconds, you get a look into a ton of different characters? Maybe it’s the fact that with this video you really get to see the possibilities that Sims 3 holds?

Whatever it is, this video will make even the most skeptical gamer take a second look at The Sims 3

Video of Sims 3 Create a Sim

I’m an impatient sort and decided that I couldn’t wait the couple of hours until Best Buy or Walmart would be open so I downloaded Sims 3 via EA’s Digital Downloader. Granted, it took four hours but I started downloading the game at 7am. By the time I had everyone down for their naps, I was ready to play my brand new game. Woo hoo!

After loading everything up, I decided to shoot some video of the Create a Sim to show you guys just how much power you have over your Sim’s appearance. The game music is loud and my voice isn’t so bear with the video. I was using my Flip Mino and had it right in front of my face so that I could get nothing but my laptop’s screen and I didn’t want to talk too loudly since I didn’t want to blow your ear drums. SO, I ended up with loud game music.

Sorry.

In the end, I’m pretty happy with what I was able to show you guys. Every option has a “default” and “advanced” tab. You can choose from a default face and then tweak it just like you could in Sims 2 but the “tweaks” make a lot more sense than they did in Sims 2. Clothing is 100% customizable just like everyone has been saying and I LOVE that you can now choose shoes for your Sim seperate from the pants that they’re wearing. You can even choose shoes or socks for your toddler Sims.

I haven’t gotten a whole lot of time to play with my new toy but the time that I have spent with it has left me wanting more. It annoys me to play the game with only my laptop’s mouse pad thing so once I find my mini mouse, I’ll play some more and hopefully have some awesome stuff to show you.

Lifetime Wish Video

Love, love, love this video. In fact, it might be my favorite to date.

There has been a lot of talk about “lifetime wishes” when it comes to The Sims 3 and this video does a great job of fleshing out exactly what everyone has been talking about.

And as always, it’s nice to see actual game-play and see how everything works and looks.

It’s getting close to launch time, kiddies. Only six days to go!

Unless you’ve been living under a very heavy and large rock then you’ve heard of Susan Boyle. She’s the rather unlikely YouTube star from Britain’s Got Talent. [Click the link cause it will blow your freakin' socks off!]

I know I’ve been posting a lot of videos but if EA wouldn’t post so many awesome videos then I could stop.

They did a bang-up job with this video and The Sims 3 version of Susan Boyle is dead on.

New Sims 3 Video

Who wants to see a pregnant Sim in action? How about a Sim playing video games and a kid fishing?

It’s all in the new Sims 3 video that was posted today and I’ve got to say that I’m more excited about this game than I was even last week.

Maybe it’s the fact that I know the end is near and before long I will have my adorably cute hands on the game and will be able to pawn the kids off on Tucker and immerse myself in the game? Who knows? And does anyone know why almost every sentence in this is a question?
