Vampires are all the rage right now what with True Blood and Twilight but I’ve been a fan of vampires since way back. Doesn’t anyone remember Lestat? *sigh*

I got a second message about my Fangbanger shirt [from a different person] and now it’s abundantly obvious that something wonky IS going on with my creation but it still works just fine for me.
Case in point:

I took that today after deleted the shirt from my game and then downloaded it from the file that I put on Mod the Sims.

Just because this season of True Blood is over, that doesn’t mean that your Sims 3 version of True Blood has to come to a close.
And, if you’re basing your game on the show [and not the books] then you’ve got to have Lafayette Reynolds. I mean, come on! He MAKES that show sometimes.

I uploaded this recolorable tank to Mod the Sims and patted myself on the back.
You can do just about anything that you want with it with regards to the design of the shirt and since it was actually a request, I knew that there were people out there who wanted the shirt for their fangbanger Sims 3.
So. Happy days.
Until I got a DM on Mod the Sims concerning issues with not being able to recolor the shirt and it just staying white.

What really grinds my gears is when I spend all freakin’ day working on  Eric Northman from True Blood and I can’t  get it right.
The thing is that the “sliders” that come with the default Sims 3 game just aren’t up to par when you’re trying to create a “real” person.
With Alex Skarsgård, he has an odd [though beautiful] face that’s hard as hell the re-create in game and I have been fighting with him for weeks.

I got a message yesterday on Mod the Sims asking if I could make a Fangbanger shirt for Sims 3. The requester wanted the text and the shirt to be recolorable and I figured, “Sure! This will be a cinch.”

When it comes to the content, I generally write what I’m interested in…which is why there has been so much stuff about True Blood right now. {I’m also working on a Ni Hao, Kai Lan shirt.} Can you tell that I’m enjoying the whole shirt making thing?

One of the things that I think is so cool about HBO and its marketing is that it’s made a couple of “fake” websites: Fellowship of the Sun and American Vampire League. These sites are diametrically opposed with one supporting the killing of anything not human and the other supporting the acceptance of vampires as human beings with rights.

If you’ve read the Sookie Stackhouse books or have watched the True Blood series on HBO, then you know that Sam Merlotte changes into a collie…actually, he can turn into anything that he wants but that really isn’t the point of this.

So I wrote last week about making a Fangtasia tank top for Eric Northman of the Southern Vampire Series and True Blood fame for Sims 3. Since I wanted you guys [and others] to have the chance to download my tank, I uploaded it to Mod the Sims and then submitted it for approval.
My first offering basically sucked since the words weren’t very clear and the lighting was horrible.
I remade the tank, took some better pictures and resubmitted my little creation.
