So me and the witch were getting along just fine.  We had TONS to talk about.

And then she conjured her familiar cat and things went downhill from there.  I tried to get her to talk about something other than her cat but she just wasn’t having it.

Maybe next time I’ll find a guy witch…who doesn’t want to talk about his cat all of the time.  Crazy cat lady witches.

I FINALLY got my copy of Apartment Life in last night and had a chance to play it for about an hour this morning.  Keep in mind that it was about 8am when I got said chance.  Also, I only got as far as creating myself and moving into a kickass apartment before I had to turn the game off.

SO, this really is a “first look”.

The first thing that I noticed about the game was the music.  It almost put me to sleep.  I’m used to some upbeat music when my Sims game is loading.  What happened?  Why so sleepy?  [Maybe I just needed some more coffee...]

There are some really great new everyday outfits and the green dress that “I’m” wearing in the picture is one of the many new things that your sim can wear.  [I think there are three different color versions of the green dress.]

If you were hoping for some really great new formal attire then you’re going to be disappointed but you can just search Sims Gamer for ball gowns and get a butt load of great custom content.  There are several new workout outfits if that’s your thing.

You get a new turn-on/turn-off of being interested in witches/warlocks.  [It's one of my turnons and I'll let you know how that turns out for me.]

Once I got past the character creator, the game reminded me of University.  The layout of the apartments took a bit of getting used to but a very nice neighbor gave me a computer so things can’t be all bad.  Right?

There’s a new feature that you can utilize in the buy/build mode: the 45 degree view.  I clicked the button and ended up with a SUPER close up of my sims’s butt.  You’ve been warned; the 45 degree view takes some getting used to.

Like I said earlier, I didn’t get very far and as you know, an hour isn’t a very long time to play so expect at least one more update.
