The whole thing was completely customizable and you could have any color combination you could think of.

I patted myself on the back and then went on with my life.

And then I patched my game to the most recent patch.

A couple of things are going on that are giving me fits.

First off, the shirts that I created prior to the patch are not showing up. If you downloaded them prior to the patch and used them in-game, a saved lot might still work if your Sim is wearing the shirt.

The reason I say might is because I didn’t try to change shirts in my saved lot but when I went to dress a new Sim in one of my custom shirts, all I got was a blank default shirt.

Not. A. Happy. Camper.

Second post patch issue occurred when I created a new Sim, loaded her into a lot and then was not able to interact with NPCs at all. In one of my saved lots, I was able to interact just like you normally can but the second I switched to a new game?

Nothing.

I haven’t had time yet to go through the bugs list to see if it’s just me or if this is a confirmed patch issue but I sure am hoping that it “fixes” itself by the next time I’m ready to play.

But if you’re like me, you haven’t updated your Sims game in a coon’s age and before you can use the items in your game, the website is going to force you to update your game.

So, if you’re one of those people who never updates their game then these are not items that you’re going to want to install.

Right now, the patch is 21% downloaded and I know for a fact that AwesomeMod isn’t going to work and that makes my heart sad. I got entirely too comfortable playing Sims with AwesomeMod and I don’t know if I’ll be able to go back to Sims life before AwesomeMod. Hold me?

Anyway, head over to SimTimes [link at the very top of this post]. The site is in German but you can use Google Translator to get a really good idea of what they’re talking about over there. Some of it is pretty awesome [lips couch] and some of it I can do without [burning time clock] but it is all free so why not just grab them all?

Some of the best Sims to dress are the kids since they look so darn cute in their Christmas gear.

You can find the downloads in Formal and in Everyday so if you want your kid Sims to be Christmas cheery at all times then you can have it.

You get four new meshes with this download but you don’t have to worry about searching around for them since they are included in this download. No expansion packs are required so even base game players can get their Sims in the holiday spirit.

Since I normally feature Sims 3 stuff, please note that this download set is for Sims 2 so don’t go downloading if for Sims 3 and expecting it to work.

There’s just something about the glowing band of light where there should be eyes or at least normal darkness that seems wrong…but I guess wrong in a good way since I’m featuring it here today.

These babies go all the way from Teen to Elder and are not only recolourable but are also repatternable which means you can basically make them look anyway you want them to look.

If you’re noticing that the glasses aren’t showing up all glowy in your game then it’s probably your graphics card. If you’re running a lower end card, the glasses will look mirrored – still cool looking just not as cool.

No custom content to worry about. Just download these glowing wraparound glasses for Sims 3 and go.

The point is that I have a great set of vampire gowns for you for Sims 2.

There are five of them total and you need to read the Overview page to get a link to the mesh that you need to download so that the dresses will show up in your game.

My favorite is the red gown since it’s red and super sexy and looks like something that a classy vampire woman would wear.

If these gowns are something you want to see your Sims wearing, make sure that you check out the link that’s listed above.

Great dresses even if you’re not trying to do the whole vampire thing.

Sims 3 is the new game [not so new now] and there is some amazing content out there and since I haven’t been playing Sims 2 because of having Sims 3, I hope you will forgive me for not posting Sims 2 content.

This dress, though deserves to get written about.

If you’re looking for a dress for your Sims 2 Sim to wear for Halloween then this is probably it.

The purple makes me smile since it’s a deep, rich purple and the dress is almost couture which I LOVE.

From reading the Overview page, it looks like you might need to download a mesh to get this to work. It’s not really explained but since there is a link to the mesh, I’m going to assume that’s what’s meant.

Download this dress for your Sims 2 chicks and let them have an awesome Halloween time.

They deserve it.

I know that some of you guys are too young to know who Jessica Rabbit is. I can still remember going to the theater to see Who Framed Roger

Rabbit and being scared of the bad guy. Though I can remember seeing the movie, “bad guy’s” name is alluding me right now.

Anyway, this Jessica Rabbit for Sims 3 is a pretty close likeness of the voluptuous, animated siren.

Her lips are spot on and that dress is out of this world.

As with just about all of the Sims that I bring to you, this one has some custom content. There are also a couple of hacks that you’re going to need to download.

Check out the overview page for a complete list of the stuff that you need to download and install to get the Jessica Rabbit in your game to look like the screenshots. And honestly, the majority of the stuff you’ll use for other stuff so you’re just saving yourself the hassle of having to download it all later.

If you’ve been playing Sims 3 for very long [like longer than a day] then you’ve probably gotten a bit bored with what’s offered as default shoes for guys.

These new shoes are new in every sense of the word.

New mesh. New colors. New everything.

A new mesh means that these are truly new items and they won’t replace anything that you already have in your game.

Sims2Time did a great job on these and you can find even more shoes to download [for guys and girls] on her profile page for Mod the Sims.

Case in point:

I took that today after deleted the shirt from my game and then downloaded it from the file that I put on Mod the Sims.

Here’s my problem: I highly suspect that the issue is that I’m playing an EA patched game and the people who are having issues haven’t patched their games. Now, this is just an assumption but I can’t figure out any other reason for the shirt not working for them.

So I have a favor to ask. I’m not going to un-patch my game [since that would require me to uninstall the game and I'm not doing that] so I need someone who hasn’t patched their game to download my shirt from this link and see if the shirt works for you. Also, if someone who HAS patched their game would also download the shirt and then load it in-game to test it, I would really appreciate it.

Leave a comment here if you decide to download the shirt letting me know what your experience was.

You can do just about anything that you want with it with regards to the design of the shirt and since it was actually a request, I knew that there were people out there who wanted the shirt for their fangbanger Sims 3.

So. Happy days.

Until I got a DM on Mod the Sims concerning issues with not being able to recolor the shirt and it just staying white.

Crap. THAT’s not supposed to happen.

I haven’t been able to get my game to load this entire weekend because More Awesome Than You has been down and I’m running my game with the “Awesomemod” so I wasn’t able to troubleshoot the shirt.

Obviously it works fine for me since I was able to take the in-game shots but it bothers me to think that some of you might have downloaded it and it’s not working for you but you’re just not saying anything.

If you’re running into this issue, drop me a comment and let me know if you’re running a patched game [meaning you downloaded the patch from EA] and maybe even a screenshot if you can manage it.

Until then, I’m going to trouble shoot the shirt tomorrow and hopefully I’ll figure out what’s going on.
