Not only is she an AMAZING filmmaker, she has also created lots of hacks and custom content that any Simmer would be proud to have in their game and movies.

Sims 2 has an extensive interview with Decorgal up right now. The interview covers everything from Decorgal’s remedy for creator’s block to “words of wisdom” for new creators.

A must read for filmmakers out there.

What cheats do you use the most?
I use game modifications/tools that I’ve created the most to queue in-game animations. As for in-game cheats, the basic ones like setting time, the boolprop testing cheat, and move objects are the ones I use the most. I remember when I first started making movies, none of the cheats and modifications were available at the time (aside from the basic in-game ones although we didn’t get the boolprop testing cheat until later). Making movies was so incredibly frustrating- I had to actually play the game to manipulate relationships to get certain reactions, keep their needs at certain levels, etc. Movie makers want as much control as possible so that we don’t have to actually ‘play’ the game in order to complete a scene. Making movies today is so much easier because of the custom content we have today.

It’s about a month old but it’s still pretty nifty.

Customization is discussed as are having kids. Playing as ghosts is discussed…and ghost babies [!!!]. “Moodlets” are also discussed.

First, I found on Snooty Sims a link to a pic that someone scanned in from a box that they received since they pre-ordered the game.

How’s that for a convoluted sentence?

I must admit that I’m a bit jealous since I pre-ordered the game as well and I haven’t gotten any cool stuff in the mail.

Sad times.

Next, I present to you a billboard that Hikikomori60 posted a link to on the Sims 3 UK forum. I’ll just post a link to it since I don’t have image use permission and didn’t want to wait for an email to get to them and then get an answer back. Those things take time and I’m impatient today.
