I’m a bit ashamed to admit that I had missed Fanseelamb’s extremely cool addition to the Tru Blood downloads and so, of course, I’m featuring it.

How could I not feature this download after I read: “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drink Friends”.

I laughed for like five minutes after I read that.

I mean, it is Thanksgiving. Why shouldn’t your vampire Sims have an interesting libation to enjoy?

Just like in the books and the show, Tru Blood satisfies all of your Vampires’ needs without the need for a dinner guest – if you know what I mean.

Tru Blood can be found in the vamp’s fridge or in vending machines. If you want everything to be all happy and work right, your best bet is to have up to Apartment Life installed.

The Overview doesn’t say how much these cost but I’m going to assume not that much. I would have installed these bad boys but I don’t run Sims 2 any longer so y’all will have to tell me how much these rock.

This Scarcrow for Sims 2 is simply amazing.

Just about everything on Scarcrow is custom:

• Costume
• Eyebrows
• Eyes
• Hat
• Skin
• Wrinkles

If you have Apartment Life then you don’t have to download anything special. If you DON’T have Apartment Life installed, then Scarcrow’s hat won’t show up. So, make sure the “No AL” version if you don’t have Apartment Life.

If you want to have the whole gang from The Wizard of Oz, you can download Dorothy, Tin Man and The Cowardly Lion from this same creator.

So me and the witch were getting along just fine.  We had TONS to talk about.

And then she conjured her familiar cat and things went downhill from there.  I tried to get her to talk about something other than her cat but she just wasn’t having it.

Maybe next time I’ll find a guy witch…who doesn’t want to talk about his cat all of the time.  Crazy cat lady witches.

I haven’t played Apartment Life in quite a while because I lost the damn game disc.  Luckily, I found the thing under my printer.  Go figure.

Anyway, I’m finally getting a chance to dig into the game and managed to score “myself” a pretty sweet apartment with a garage.

One thing that I discovered that I thought was pretty cool is the fact that you can customize the front door of your apartment along with the “welcome mat”.  That seems like such a tiny little detail but since you could do something similar in University, I guess that it only makes sense that you would be able to do it in Apartment Life.

“My” likes are Success/Hard Worker and Witchiness.  My goal is to find a hot warlock who’s damn good at his job.

Every one’s gotta have a goal.  Right?

Apartment Life has a patch ready and waiting for you.

The patch fixes 50 + things that are going wonky or just plain wrong with the game including issues with pets and witches and issues with moving into lots.

I FINALLY got my copy of Apartment Life in last night and had a chance to play it for about an hour this morning.  Keep in mind that it was about 8am when I got said chance.  Also, I only got as far as creating myself and moving into a kickass apartment before I had to turn the game off.

SO, this really is a “first look”.

The first thing that I noticed about the game was the music.  It almost put me to sleep.  I’m used to some upbeat music when my Sims game is loading.  What happened?  Why so sleepy?  [Maybe I just needed some more coffee...]

There are some really great new everyday outfits and the green dress that “I’m” wearing in the picture is one of the many new things that your sim can wear.  [I think there are three different color versions of the green dress.]

If you were hoping for some really great new formal attire then you’re going to be disappointed but you can just search Sims Gamer for ball gowns and get a butt load of great custom content.  There are several new workout outfits if that’s your thing.

You get a new turn-on/turn-off of being interested in witches/warlocks.  [It's one of my turnons and I'll let you know how that turns out for me.]

Once I got past the character creator, the game reminded me of University.  The layout of the apartments took a bit of getting used to but a very nice neighbor gave me a computer so things can’t be all bad.  Right?

There’s a new feature that you can utilize in the buy/build mode: the 45 degree view.  I clicked the button and ended up with a SUPER close up of my sims’s butt.  You’ve been warned; the 45 degree view takes some getting used to.

Like I said earlier, I didn’t get very far and as you know, an hour isn’t a very long time to play so expect at least one more update.
